MPABI
The Microbes, Parasites, and Biodiversity Initiative (MPABI) at the University of Michigan is a research and archival facility dedicated to collecting, preserving, and studying biological samples from wildlife, and the environment to support research in ecology, evolution, public health, and emerging pathogens by maintaining a diverse and well-documented collection of specimens, such as tissues, and nucleic acids. The MPABI fosters collaboration between researchers, public health agencies, and conservation efforts, providing a critical resource for studying pathogen diversity, host–pathogen interactions, and disease emergence.
The MPABI data is also available on GBIF.
